Nestled in northwest Laikipia, Suyian Conservancy is a wild stronghold for Kenya’s rarest creatures, where conservation leads and landscapes inspire. Between the Ewaso Narok River and Mt. Kenya, this 17,806-hectare (44,000-acre) sanctuary is part of a vital wildlife corridor within a broader montage of privately managed land totalling over 80,937 hectares (200,000 acres). Once a cattle ranch, it now blends regenerative practices with community partnerships, hosting over 100mammal species and rarities like the melanistic black leopard and African wild dog, alongside Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk, and reticulated giraffe. With grasslands, kopjes, Vachellia woodland, and 16 km of river frontage, Suyian Conservancy offers intimate, untamed encounters that support a greater purpose.
