Rekero Camp

Overlooking a crossing point on the Talek River in Kenya’s Maasai Mara, Rekero Camp is an intimate luxury tented camp and one of the reserve’s original and most beloved addresses. Just nine classic safari tents, including two family tents, nestle among the trees, their muted khaki canvas blending seamlessly into the landscape with en-suite bathrooms and hot-water showers. From July to November, the Great Migration thunders past a crossing point barely 150 metres from the dining deck, allowing guests to witness the spectacle without leaving camp. Recently rebuilt, the lounge, dining area and deck frame sweeping river views, while daily-changing menus celebrate Swahili flavours. A firm favourite that guests return to year after year.
